Thank You!

We would like to extend a very sincere thank you to everyone who contributed to CAPE School's Spring Fling Trade Show & Carnival on May 3, 2014.

Spring Fling was hugely successful because we had the support of CAPE families, various businesses and organizations in Medicine Hat, and our hard working staff.

We also thank the community of Medicine Hat, who came to spend part of their day with us.

Thank you for supporting our playground initiative.

What is Spring Fling Trade Show & Carnival All About?

CAPE School Council's Spring Fling Trade Show & Carnival will be the starting point of raising funds to design and build a playground for our new school location which we will move to in a few years. The goal of Spring Fling is to raise funds for and community awareness of CAPE School. This event will feature many activities that children and adults alike will enjoy, from a trade show to giant inflatables and mini tractors, to a penny parade and BBQ.

Donations of time and goods are welcome by students, parents, teachers, and the community. It takes a community to support a school and we are grateful for your support.

I would like to help with the Spring Fling Trade Show & Carnival. What can I do?

There are many different ways in which students, parents, teachers, and the community can support CAPE School's Spring Fling Fundraising Carnival:

Volunteer - please call the office at 403-528-2983 or email Mrs. Moraal to sign up.
Donate goods or services. Please visit our donation page for details.
Spread the word. Your help in publicizing our event is very much appreciated.

Hang a poster. (Posters can be picked up at the school office, or can be requested by phone at 403-528-2983 or by emailing Mrs. Moraal.)

What types of payment will be accepted?

All items can be paid by cash or cheque.
Scholastic Book Fair items can also be paid by Visa and MasterCard.

Will I be eligible for a tax receipt?

Tax receipts are available for donations of more than $25.00.

About CAPE School

It is evident in its growing reputation that CAPE School has been a distinct and clear-cut choice for many families in Medicine Hat since it was established in 1994. CAPE fosters academic and personal excellence skills to students intellectually capable but may be underachieving (those who may fall through the cracks) so that they may experience excellence, become lifelong learners and contribute to human improvement.

While CAPE’s programs focus on the needs of “intellectually capable underachievers”, many of the widely applied measures (i.e. small class sizes, teaching assistants) are found appealing to parents of students who fall within “normal” parameters. Therefore, in its twenty years of operation as a public charter school, CAPE has attempted to bring success to individual students based on their individual program needs, to provide a personalized level of achievement.
